Chart-topping multiplatinum reggae-pop outfit UB40 today reveal national Australian tour dates for January 2017. With the band’s beloved original front-man ALI CAMPBELL at the helm, together with founding members ASTRO and MICKEY VIRTUE, UB40’s Australian return will be one of the most anticipated events of the year.

Returning to our shores off the back of lauded performances at this year’s Byron Bay Bluesfest,Ali Campbell’s UB40 will hit the stage in 2017 for four special appearances beginning at Perth’sFremantle Arts Centre on Tuesday 10th January, followed by Sydney’s Enmore Theatre onThursday 12th January, Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Friday 13th January and wrapping up at the picturesque Sandstone Point at Bribie Island on Sunday 15th January.

Since reuniting three years ago, original UB40 founding members Ali Campbell, Astro andMickey Virtue have developed into a formidable touring outfit. Their world tours have included visits to North and South America, Nigeria, South Africa, Dubai, Europe and Papua New Guinea. Currently in the midst of a sell-out North America and Canada tour, UB40 will land in Australia to deliver their distinctive rootsy musical mélange to audiences around the country.

In 2014, UB40 featuring Ali Campbell, Astro & Mickey Virtue released a critically acclaimed Top 10 album, ‘Silhouette’, showcasing the outfit’s unique brand of reggae-pop across thirteen tracks including single ‘I Want You’. The band has plans to release a new studio album later this year.
