Adelaide’s West Thebarton Brothel Party today announce their first single for 2016 – the fast, rough, intense, and undeniable “Red or White” (available via iTunes and Bandcamp through Clarity Records).

Coming off the back their 2015 self-titled debut EP featuring singles ‘Misophonia’ and ‘Billions’,last year saw ‘The Thebbos’ embark on a national tour with fellow South AustraliansBad//Dreems, while simultaneously building a strong local fan base back home by scoring support slots for Courtney Barnett, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard, as well as international acts Wavves and Cloud Nothings.

The release of the EP captured the attention of radio and press nationwide, and projected this seven-piece into the ears and hearts of fans throughout Australia; with The AU Review naming the band as “15 Artists to watch” and Triple J Unearthed also tipping their hat in their “Ones to watch in 2016” list. It’s no wonder that already the band have been hand-picked by Jack Daniels for their 2016 JD Future Legends tour series, and selected by Groovin The Moo to play the Oakbank leg of the festival this month. When this band get on stage, their quintessential timeless Australian sound mixed with inspiration from garage greats Eddy Current Suppression Ring andThee Oh Sees has created a live energy that’s undeniable.

West Thebarton Brothel Party combine a fuzz-heavy four-pronged guitar attack with a rumbling three-part rhythm section to deliver cathartic and chaotic garage rock reminiscent of Radio Birdman and The Sunnyboys. New single “Red or White” was recorded with Alistair Wells atGrinch Records and mastered by Steve Smart at 301, capturing the relentless energy of their live show. They don’t just want you to hear their music; they want you to feel it too.
