After finishing off 2015 with some amazing live performances at Woodford Folk Festival and NYE on the Hill, and picking up Best Songwriter and Best Male Artist Awards at the South Australian Music Awards, Adelaide singer-songwriter and guitar guru Timberwolf is set to perform his first and only headline show for a while in 2016.

Timberwolf will be performing an intimate set at Melbourne venue Shebeen onSaturday 19th March.

2015 saw Timberwolf release his sophomore EP ‘Flux’.  Within 6 months, the independently released EP had clocked over 1 million plays on Spotify alone.

Timberwolf: I’ve definitely moved on from the quite broken or sad origins of ‘flux’ as a person, and it’s definitely reflected in my writing of late. I’ve also learnt a lot more about my guitar and how to write with it.  Given these are two pretty fundamental changes to the way I write, the new songs definitely feel a huge step away from anything from flux.

Having spent a fair amount of time in recent months writing new material, including a writing trip to L.A. Timberwolf now has a whole new arsenal of music ready to share ahead of what is looking set to be another busy year of new music releases.

Pre-sale tickets to the intimate show are on sale now

Being recently touched by the sad passing of legendary founding member of the Eagles Glenn Frey, Timberwolf took to social media to post his fitting and emotional tribute to the singer-songwriter by way of a ‘Take It Easy’ cover.  You can watch the cover by clicking on the grab taken from YouTube below

The Eagles are one of my parent’s favourite bands, so I’ve got fond memories of us all sharing their songs together, ‘Take It Easy’ in particular.  I wasn’t always a fan, but I grew into his songwriting and the rest of the band’s.  Well constructed melodies and guitar arrangements will always win me over…
