Southern California’s beloved punk pioneers T.S.O.L. will finally be touring in Australia this August, marking the first time they’ve been on Aussie soil in their expansive 40-year career.

Formed in 1978 by four pasty-faced youths with a passion for the emerging hardcore scene, T.S.O.L. burst onto the local club scene with an image that included white face paint and dark, energetic anthems about alienation and troubled youth.

Finding their niche, the band began headlining major shows with young bands like Bad Religion, Suicidal Tendencies, and Social Distortion often opening. The self-described “Orange County Invasion” had begun, and they were the first band to reap the benefits of the new sound.

While many bands become passé after a few years, others stand the test of time and continue to write great songs and stay relevant. That is the epitome of TSOL; still crazy, still witty and still angry after all these years.
