Touring Australia as special guests on Black Sabbath’s The End Tour, LA rockers RIVAL SONS will smash two club shows this month – at Cherry Bar, Melbourne and Frankie’s Pizza, Sydney.

Tickets for these exclusive shows are available now.

RIVAL SONS evoke the bluesy rock of bands like Led Zeppelin and the Black Crowes.

Formed in 2008, the quartet of Scott Holiday (guitar), Dave Beste (bass), Mike Miley (drums) and Jay Buchanan (vocals) captures that massively huge, guitar-driven classic rock sound, with rock-solid drumming and a riff-oriented approach to songwriting backing up Buchanan’s soaring vocals.

Rival Sons have opened for some of music’s legendary hard rock and metal icons including Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Deep Purple, Aerosmith and Sammy Hagar, and are set to rock their second Download Festival appearance this June.

Touring Australia as special guests to Black Sabbath on The End Tour, Jay Buchanan said: “To have this opportunity is at first unfathomable and then flattering to know we’ll be in company with these bonfire legends each night. Thank you Black Sabbath.”

Rival Sons self-released its debut, Before the Fire, in 2009 and followed up in 2011 with Pressure & Time, which went on to be voted Classic Rock magazine’s number two album of the year.

They stuck with the classic rock riffs and blues-influenced sound on their third record, Head Down, which was released in 2012 to widespread critical acclaim.

Their fourth full-length, Great Western Valkyrie, was recorded in early 2014 in Nashville with Dave Cobb producing featuring lead track Electric Man. The album was recently re-released a 2-Disc Tour Edition to celebrate the band’s European tour with Deep Purple.

Rival Sons are set to release their fifth album, Hollow Bones, in early June through Earache.
