Melbourne’s metal powerhouse Jack The Stripper have released their brand new video Nibiru, taken from their debut album Raw Nerve (2013)

While the lyrics address subjects of abandonment and feelings of hopelessness in Nibiru, the music transmits an unnerving, nightmarish atmosphere which the band felt needed to be appropriately conveyed. The end product is this video, providing both long-time and new listeners with a complete spectrum of all the elements that make up the foundation of this song. Night terrors, the unknown, plenty of spit and bitterness – this is Nibiru.

Frontman Luke Frizon declared – “With so many different platforms shared by media and your peers telling you how to feel, how to think, how to view yourself every day – it’s a given that disillusionment and dissociation will strike a lot of people, and cause suffering. Nibiru is for those people and seeks to illustrate the sense of loss, separation, and worthlessness that they feel.”

Jack The Stripper’s ‘Nibiru Tour’ will take in headline dates across Australia (kicking off this month), before the band embarks on their inaugural European tour which includes shows with Parkway Drive and a string of festival appearances, such as Brutal Assault (Czech Republic) and Rockstadt (Romania). The tour will conclude with the group’s second visit of Japan.
