In conjunction with the Sydney Opera House and the Festival of Dangerous Ideas, Feel Presents are proud to announce Henry Rollins live in the Concert Hall of the Sydney Opera House, Saturday 3rd September.
“As always, I am greatly looking forward to being back in beautiful Australia and am extremely excited about being onstage in the Sydney Opera House for the Festival of Dangerous Ideas. I’ve only seen the SOH from the outside and having spent many of my first shows in Australia almost thirty years ago, loading out the gear through a sea of empty beer cans, this will be quite a memorable experience. From his days with Black Flag as a punk rock front man, Henry Rollins now travels the world, performing, sharing his work and continuing to question global injustice. Propelled by his trademark rage and energy, this unique and compelling spoken word performer is coming to the Festival of Dangerous Ideas to talk about everything from how he sees the world to the blood sport that is US politics.
Since his last sold out national tour in 2012, Henry, as you would expect, has been busy. Making a number of TV series for National Geographic, and the History Channel, had his first starring role in a feature film ‘He Never Died’, and been a part of one of the greatest live music / silent film projects ever undertaken, along side the likes of Grace Jones, Lemmy, Iggy Pop and many more legends of the game in Gutterdämmerung. In 2014 he was awarded the prestigious Ray Bradbury Creativity Award in recognition for his lifelong contribution to the arts, his passion for social activism, as well as his intense passion for the importance of maintaining books and libraries.
