Melbourne-based indie-rock group Halcyon Drive are proud to unveil the accompanying music video for their latest standout single ‘Agnosia’ – directed by the band themselves.

Shot by Robert Oechsle at Brunswick Studios, the clip was filmed at 9x reduced speed to synchronise drummer Max Pamieta and bassist Basil Yu’s drawing to the lyrics. The band designed and built the set themselves, with a custom aluminium frame and 3x2m sheet of clear Perspex used as the writing surface.

Front man Michael Oechsle describes the link between the song and video:

“Agnosia is in large part about the frenetic pace of media today. We thought the idea of Max and Basil scribbling the lyrics as I blasted them out would tie in nicely. It’s a potent song lyrically, so it was nice to draw attention to that in the clip”.

To coincide with the release, the band will play shows at a Secret Location in Melbourne and Otto’s House Party at World Bar, Sydney. This continues on from a relentless April and May touring schedule, which included performances at The Hills are Alive Festival, headlining Rare Finds indie club night tour circuit and a support slot on Stereophonics sold-out Australian tour.
