After releasing their critically praised debut EP ‘Subtitles For XYZ’, Sydney-based indie-rock group CREO have just revealed tour dates and their new anthemic cut ‘In The Red’ – lifted from their forthcoming sophomore EP (due late-2018).

Bursting open with walls of guitar and a relentless rhythmic section, ‘In The Red’ flairs with angst and conviction, as enigmatic front man Jorjee Haman delivers on his emotively-charged and idiosyncratic vocals. The track’s energy maintains a roaring consistency and simultaneously varies within its intricate shift in structure and dynamics.

Haman describes the meaning behind the track:

“’In The Red is all about the cyclical nature of being a creative trying to achieve something. Sometimes you lose sight of why and focus on when, and then it feels like you’re treading water aimlessly. That feeling of doing the same thing over and over and achieving what you think are the same results is a feeling that I really struggled with last year especially; I dare say I’m not the only one who goes through these emotional ruts, for lack of a better word. We sacrifice a lot to be able to pursue a career in the arts, and that can sometimes take a beating on your mental health. ‘In The Red’ is me desperately pleading whilst in that fragile moment of insecurity that something’s got to give”.

In line with the release, the band will set out in September to perform three shows in Sydney, Wollongong and Melbourne. In 2017, CREO performed forty-two shows around the country, featuring at Falls Festival, selling out their own headline shows and sharing stages alongside Nothing But Thieves (UK), Minus The Bear (USA), British India, Last Dinosaurs, Tired Lion, Polish Club and Bad//Dreems.

In the coming weeks CREO will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘In The Red’.

‘In The Red’ will be available worldwide on Friday August 24
