Pre-orders have launched for ‘Keep It Together,’ the upcoming LP from Annapolis, MD’s Bumpin Uglies’. All iTunes pre-orders receive an instant download of the lead single “Stop The Fall.” The band’s third full-length (and first for Right Coast Records, the label owned and operated by members of Ballyhoo!) will be released on September 9. Front man Brandon Hardesty tells Idobi, “We shot this video at a public part outside of Baltimore on the hottest day of July. It was our first time doing a music video with a plot and a director so we didn’t know exactly what to expect, but the guys with Stage 20 Media did a great job making us feel comfortable. I’m really excited for how it turned up and I think it should do a great job setting the tone for our upcoming album.” “The new record Is the culmination of the last 8 years of my life. It’s a collection of stories about touring as an independent band, but told in a way that is applicable to every day life. There are songs about long drives, financial uncertainty, lost friendships, relationships, and panic attacks,” adds Hardesty. “It’s a mixture of ska/punk, reggae/rock, and dub, but with a darkness to it that isn’t usually found in the genre.” Bumpin Uglies will be supporting Ballyhoo! on their east coast tour dates this fall.
