After being embraced out of the box for its funk pop hooks and attitude, Perth’s Abbe May treats her new single ‘Are We Flirting?’ to some killer visuals with a great new clip hitting today.
The multiple ARIA, AIR and AMP nominee and 18-time WAMi winner has made a real statement with the first taste from forthcoming long player ‘Bitchcraft’. The clip, directed by Luna Laure with art direction from Abbe, melts sex appeal with cute kittens in a recipe that on paper should shut down the interwebs.
She also welcomes Bec Sandridge to support her upcoming national tour. Fresh from triple j success with ‘You’re a F*cking Joke’, the two uncompromising badasses will hit the road together to “bring the bitch” to fans along with special guests RACKETT in Sydney, Jack Stirling & the Perfect in Melbourne and Abacaxuva in Perth.
May says her 2013 album “Kiss My Apocalypse” was such a steep learning curve as an independent artist, taking her to the heights of being nominated for Best Female Artist at the ARIA Awards and achieving huge success with the singles “Karmageddon” and “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.”, but also plunging her into the depths of a serious health crisis.
