New Zealand’s Written By Wolves have returned, not only with the fresh new single “Secrets“, but an album announcement to boot! “Secrets” comes as the second cut and title track off the upcoming album and builds on the fresh and progressive cinematic rock that has solidified Written By Wolves as one of the most exciting rock bands currently bursting out of New Zealand. The brand new album ‘Secrets‘ will be available Friday November 8!

Tell Me What You’re Running From?” gave fans a first taste of how far the band have progressed their signature genre-bending blend of rock, pop, alternative and electronic music and tackled themes of inner turmoil and staying true to oneself. “Secrets” follows on with commentary on the current state of the world and the way that society has learnt to hide true feelings and display a public face instead. Vocalist Mikey Murphy touches on the truth of the matter by saying, “We smile on the outside while bottling up the deep shit. [Secrets] is about realising that the problem is not confined to the minority and has consumed the population to such an extent that issues such as mental health and suicide are near epidemic status.”

The new track is about understanding that we are not alone in feeling this way and that it’s time to change societal norms and open up about how we feel – to put more emphasis on talking to each other about things that really matter rather than our online social media presence.

The music clip sees the band reunite with critically acclaimed LA director, Josh Mabie, who has worked with the band multiple times in the past, including the last release “Tell Me What You’re Running From?” and “To Tell You The Truth“.

Written By Wolves have returned with “Secrets”, with the promise of more to follow. “Secrets” is out now on all digital stores and streaming platforms at http://hyperurl.co/wbwsecrets. The album will be available Friday November 8, with pre-orders available now!
