The Cult have announced their new video G.O.A.T, from their current release Hidden City, premiered on Nowness.

The film, directed by Juan Azulay and produced by Ian Astbury, depicts amateur mixed martial arts fighter Orlando Friolera alongside his trainer and mentor Diego de Vera of Miami’s Knockout Zone Gym. The clip was shot in the Everglades Little Haiti and Liberty City in Miami, FL.

The song’s title is an acronym for GREATEST OF ALL TIME. The film symbolizes The Cult’s identification as cultural outsiders, revealing the mystique of a lone fighter who, through discipline and integrity, rises up against all odds. The overall effect of the film and musical track is both poetic and primal.
