Trophy Eyes may have only just released their massively anticipated new album, The American Dream(out now via Hopeless Records/UNIFIED), but they are itching to head out on their biggest headline tour to date this October. Joining Trophy Eyes on their next headline jaunt across Australia will be Dear Seattle, Maddy Jane and STUMPS.
The American Dream – the third album in the Trophy Eyes collection – is based on the idea that there’s still utopia left on this planet – a place where one can start again and live a peaceful life, forsaking the trail of destruction that threaten to derail it all. The album also serves as a coming of age fable, in which lead vocalist John Floreani takes an introspective look at who he is today.
Sydneysiders Dear Seattle also be joining Trophy Eyes come October. One part mosh pit, one part love letter, Dear Seattle have created a unique and powerful style of songwriting with a whole lot of heart. With two EPs to their name, a whole lot of love on triple j and community radio while finding their way onto Spotify viral charts here and in the UK, the band spent most of 2017 driving up and down the east coast, bringing their raucous and unforgettable live show to BIGSOUND, Festival of the Sun, UNIFY and Shakafest, culminating in their signing to James Tidswell’s new label Domestic La La.
Tasmania’s Maddy Jane has had a massive 12 months with four singles on triple j rotation and a string of shows supporting Tash Sultana, Polish Club, Luca Brasi and Harry Styles as well as appearances at NYE on the Hill, Falls and more.
STUMPS are a four-piece from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, dishing up a refreshing blend of indie rock & Brit pop. Although fresh faces to many, the band have wasted no time at all in snatching the attention of music fans, industry heads and tastemakers around the country. Their electrifying live show will get audiences pumped for the night ahead this October.
The American Dream tour will be seriously special and not to be missed.
