After a huge 2021 which saw Listen Up Music launch the inaugural Torch Fest in Brisbane, and then quickly expand to Sydney and Melbourne which unfortunately could not go ahead, the award-winning charity is gearing up for a blazing 2022 which is set to include Canberra on their now four-state festival event.

With the significant impact that mental health has on the music industry, especially in recent years, Torch Fest aims to eradicate the stigma associated with talking about mental health by enlisting a huge lineup of artists to play at top-notch venues around Australia.

Co-founder of Listen Up Music, Ali Taylor, states:

Torch Fest; the light that gets you through is Australia’s biggest mental health music festival. After a successful launch in Brisbane on 10th April, Torch Fest is expanding out to four regional dates in 2022.

“Mental health doesn’t discriminate, and so we felt it only right to shine further light on the topic, now in four states across the country.”

Tying the event together, all acts will perform a Torch Song representing the light that has helped them through any hardship and/or mental health challenges. The festival will distribute battery-powered torches to event-goers for them to light up during each Torch Song, recognising the importance of making it through those experiences whilst commemorating togetherness and support.

Join us and let Torch Fest be the light that gets you through in 2022.
