Coming off a successful Australian tour supporting Airbourne and the release of their first cover for David Bowie’s “Lazarus” in early 2017, The Ugly Kings are finally ready to launch the first original single, “Promised Land” off their upcoming debut album in the Mecca of Melbourne Rock N’ Roll, Cherry Bar. Joining the party will be Melbourne blues rock locals White Summer and Whoopie Cat.
The Ugly Kings are four powerhouse blues rockers, drawing influence from an eclectic and dynamic musical background. THE UGLY KINGS offer a powerful injection of energy and emotion to the modern rock scene, formulating what can only be described as power blues. Their unique catchy, melodic, groove driven, foot stomping rhythm and riffs lay the foundations for the deep reaching and soulful emotive vocals.
Having 1 mini-album under their belt already as well as having a full length album and single ready to be released, they also boast an impressive collection of shows and performances for a young band.
Having in the last 12 months supported Airbourne on their successful sold out east coast tour in January 2017 in Sydney and receiving much acclaim while gathering new fans along the way. In April last year the band also supported Rival Sons at Cherry Bar Melbourne drawing the sold out crowd in early.
The Ugly Kings will be releasing their new single, Promised Land on vinyl on
