Tasmania’s SPKEZY (Speakeasyare today releasing ‘Seen‘ as the final single from brand new EP ‘Midnight Club‘ – due out this Friday 13th November.

“Seen” is about being ‘left on read’ and the frustrations that follow when wanting clarity, but you’re met with silence. Vocalist and lyricist Luke Vaessen details, “Those three dots that eventuate to nothing. Knowing that what you had to say, what you need to say had been seen, but for reasons unknown, you hear nothing – and that uncertainty continues to ferment in your mind. “Was I not enough? What if things were different? Where those feeling ever reciprocated? Maybe you’ll never know.

The track is sonically dark and matches the tone of the lyrics with its slower pace – almost like waiting in anticipation for a message that never comes.

‘Midnight Club’ at its core represents love and loss and where these elements fall in relation to being human. “Dopesick” represents the struggle of substance abuse and keeping promises to loved ones, “Fever Dream” represents the longing for something that is no longer there and “Seen” builds on this and encapsulates feelings of frustration and confusion.
