Sydney-based pop-punk quartet SoSo have just revealed their heartfelt new single ‘Skywriter’ – produced and mixed by Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, RedHook, Yours Truly).
‘Skywriter’ is four minutes of bittersweet pop-punk, punctuated by intense drums, searing guitars and the impassioned vocals of lead singer Rhys de Burgh. The track takes an uplifting turn, as a key change transforms the last chorus, hurtling towards a wholly satisfying ending.
Lead singer Rhys de Burgh talks about the inspiration behind ‘Skywriter’:
“It’s easy to become disillusioned and assume you’re alone in times of tragedy. Understand that it’s a shared experience everyone can relate to regardless of social status, age, circumstances etc…’Skywriter’ is a gentle reminder that we’re not alone in that experience and I think that sometimes, that’s reason enough to wake up each morning.”
