After dropping lead track ‘The Sun’ on Wednesday, Adelaide alternative outfit Sleep Talk today unleash their debut albumEverything In Colour in full. Detailing the desperate feeling of clinging to a relationship, ‘The Sun’ is one of the band’s most profound outputs to date, crying “what if the sun swallowed me whole and I don’t get to grow old?” and perfectly summing up the packed emotional force of the record.

“During the writing period for Everything In Colour there was a strong emphasis personally to present a more mature style of writing in comparison to prior Sleep Talk releases,” he explains. “I also wanted to write content that maybe, to me, had a very specific meaning but was vague enough that people could interpret the lyrics how they deemed fit.”

The band just wrapped up their ‘Everything in Colour’ Tour, which saw them hit Sydney (SOLD OUT), Adelaide (SOLD OUT), Melbourne and Brisbane throughout April. They’re now geared to support Hellions on their national run at their Adelaide show tonight, and have just been announced as supports for none other than Ocean Grove for their national tour this month.
