Canadian post hardcore pioneers, Silverstein have sold over 1 million records in their 15 year career, and are returning to Australia this May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their breakthrough album Discovering The Waterfront which they will be playing in full along with their greatest hits. Their new album I Am Alive In Everything I Touch is scheduled for release around the time of the tour so, fans can expect some brand new inspiring material along with the classics.
Joining Silverstein are Melbourne DIY metalcore machines, Dream On Dreamer whose marriage of aggression and ‘fond sentimentality’ has given them a unique and envious position in the scene. As well as Brisbane workaholics Young Lions who’s latest album, Blue Isla, was fully crowd funded and has put them on verge of joining the illustrious Australian musical elite.
Local supports for each show have now been added making an already stellar line up that little bit more impressive! Brisbane locals Bayharbour will kick the whole tour off with their diverse metalcore stylings while Taken By Force and Fingers Crossed have local honours in Newcastle.
South Sydney veterans Polaris will set the tone at the Manning Bar and the All Ages show in Canberra will be primed by the two pronged attack coming from Drawing North and Autumn.
Keeping the local scene alive, Alt-rockers Harbours will treat their hometown Melbourne crowd to some crowd pleasers and the same goes for Ambleside who will give the All Ages Adelaide crowd a dose of melodic hardcore ahead of the main event.
Silverstein’s 2015 tour will come to an end in Perth but not before hometown favourites Aveira Skies and six piece Bunbury natives, Make Believe Me set the stage for a fond farewell.
