In 2020 Japan’s Paledusk proudly became the first international act to join the Greyscale Records family and were welcomed with open arms by bands and fans alike. The rising metalcore act has kicked off 2021 by releasing their powerful new single Wind Back, which as vocalist KAITO expresses, is a song about accepting life as it comes. “Time always mercilessly goes, with both good and bad things in it. The relationship with family, friendship, and the flux of time, they don’t always go well as we wish. Especially in this time and age, we need to look at those obvious things and take a look of your loved ones and keep going.”

Guitarist/Composer DAIDAI adds that the song is meant to give hope to fans in the hard times we are all collectively experiencing. “I composed this song with the message that I will go forward into that future with a hope while accepting all those things happened to us since I joined Paledusk. Also, with the hope that I want to switch this negative mood that surrounded us throughout 2020 into a hope for 2021.”

Today we were blessed with not one, but two tracks from Paledusk, with the second track LEAVE ME OUT, coming from a place of pure creativity according to DAIDAI“I made this song with the power of momentum only with an organic sound without thinking anything deep. It is different from usual Paledusk but this song is full of uniqueness.” With KAITO adding,  “There are many people who I find are too controlling of me and this song is about the feeling that I am tired of them and want to be released. I am who I am, we are PALEDUSK. We believe in ourselves no matter what anyone says. Having these strong thoughts, I made it into lyrics.”

With so much uncertainty in the world today, Paledusk remain hopeful about the future. KAITO wanted to add some thoughts on the future with “We became able to do get a gig little by little and we are honestly happy with it! But it’s not the same as before so we are not satisfied yet. We wish the world where we can fully enjoy the extreme music to come back ASAP! We can’t wait to see you all especially our friends and fans in Australia! We want to deliver Paledusk’s sound  all over the world.”
