Pacific Heights continues to tantalise his swelling fanbase ahead of the release of his new album The Stillness (out tomorrow, May 27 via Create/Control) with the release today of the stunning new single, ‘Drained’.
Featuring guest vocals from rising Kiwi songstress Jen Turner, the song is yet another rich and cinematic production, with ghostly vocals and an intensity that recalls the brooding synth pop of Poliça and Daughter, but with Pacific Heights’ (aka Devin Abrams) signature sonic atmosphere surrounding the entire composition.

‘Drained’ is yet more evidence of the range of influences and styles that appear on The Stillness, and arrives off the back of previous soul-infused single ‘Buried By The Burden’ feat. Louis Baker, which gained international acclaim and clocked up over 170,000 streams online.
It, along with the majestic debut single ‘Airborne’ feat. Deanne Krieg (which proved to be a watershed moment for Pacific Heights after it was picked up by Indie Shuffle and exposing Abrams’ distinctive audible textures to listeners around the world), has seen the electronic maestro manage to forge an impressive name for himself as one of the most captivating breakout artists of 2016.
‘Drained’, ‘Buried By The Burden’ and ‘Airborne’ are mere glimpses of what we can expect when The Stillness is released tomorrow, with Pacific Heights set to make his deep impact on the electronic music scene.
