After the whirlwind response to their recent track ‘Ask For The Anthem’, self-proclaimed oddballs and frenetic purveyors of grunge, hardcore and punk, Ocean Grove appeased the masses with the announcement of a national headline tour. Now amid continued hype and flying tickets, the Melbourne locals have unveiled a whopping roster of supports that are set to join them, in the form of Something Something ExplosionPublic High and Sleep Talk

Marking the likes of Bodyjar, Frenzal Rhomb and NOFX among their influences, Queensland-natives Something Something Explosion have crafted a stellar blend of punk rock that has seen them on a steady rise since the release of their single ‘Dominique’ in 2016. The lineup also features Melbourne punk up-and-comers Public High, who spent their 2018 adding such tour credits as Horace Bones to their belts and signing to acclaimed booking agency Damaged. Sleep Talk round out the list, who’ll be just coming off the release of their hotly anticipated debut full-length Everything In Colour when it drops on May 3. Out of Adelaide, the alt-hardcore act have been racking up some incredible acclaim since forming in 2015, including supporting the likes of Stick to Your GunsCitizen and Tunover, being nominated for Best Heavy Band at the SA Music Awards and collecting triple j praise.

The Ask For The Anthem Tour marks Ocean Grove’s first national headline run since 2017, and their first featuring their new lineup – Twiggy Hunter on bass and Dale Tanner assuming full time frontman duties. With an unparalleled fan and critical response to the track, there’s no doubt that this tour will be a hot and sweaty celebratory affair.
