American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, KISHI BASHI, will return to Australia next year to play two very special intimate shows at Melbourne’s Howler on Wednesday 15th February and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Thursday 16th February. Tickets will go on sale tomorrow at 10am local time.
Kishi Bashi will return to Australian shores two and a half years on from his last visit, to play two headline shows along with an already announced appearance at the Perth International Arts Festival, alongside local act Teeth & Tongue. An engaging live artist, Kishi is known for his joyous and energetic on-stage presence, incredible live vocals, and mesmerising multi-instrumentation; regularly switching between violin, beatboxing and looping pedal.
A renowned violinist, Kishi has toured internationally with the likes of Regina Spektor, Sondre Lerche and indie-rock outfit of Montreal, and is a founding member of new wave indie act Jupiter One. Over the years, Kishi has taken the stage for a live performance on the Late Show with David Letterman, and has wowed audiences on NPR Music’s Tiny Desk series (watch here). Wrapping up an extensive US tour earlier this week, Kishi Bashi will be in fine form when he returns to Australia for back-to-back intimate headline dates next year.
