Released today is  Husky’s third studio record, Punchbuzz. Recorded in Melbourne with producer Matt Redlich, the captivating sound of Punchbuzz is of a band re-birthed, having drawn upon new inspirations to deliver their most exciting and experimental record yet.

Punchbuzz has already struck a loving chord with critics and fans alike, who are applauding the record’s compelling songwriting and psychedelic alt-pop sounds. Lead single ‘Late Night Store’ reached high rotation on triple j and has now amassed 3 million streams across Spotify and Apple Music, featuring on massive playlists locally and internationally. 

Husky are sharing a series of live performance videos filmed at the Elsternwick Mansion to celebrate the record’s release. The upbeat and infectious ‘Shark Fin’ was premiered by Tone Deaf this week and it’s an exciting window into what we can expect from their forthcoming shows. 

Husky will be hitting the road throughout June/July to take the multi-layered sounds of Punchbuzz to audiences in both metro and regional areas of Australia. Support comes from rising star Tia Gostelow and Sydney’s buzz band Hot Spoke. Local songwriter Teischa will open in WA.
 
In exciting news for overseas fans, Husky will undertake their largest European tour to date, playing 26 shows in 2 months, visiting 11 countries. They’ll be touring in full band mode, kicking things off in October.
 
You can get your hands on the limited edition blue/black marble vinyl here. Punchbuzz is out via Embassy of Music (Bjork, Robyn, Asgeir) in the UK, through fellow indie Nevado in the US and Liberation for the rest of the world.
