Hellions’ critically acclaimed new album, Opera Obilvia, has debuted at #4 on the ARIA Chart – the highest chart position of their career. Opera Oblivia is the third top 10 ARIA result of 2016 for the flourishing label after Canberra’s Hands Like Houses reached #7 in March with their brilliant new album, Dissonants and Architects landed at #2 in May with their powerfully heavy new album All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us.

Hellions’ highly anticipated third opus has already been declared a genre great by the wider music community for its theatricality, emotion, innovation and confidence. More than just a collection of songs, Opera Oblivia is a musical experience that was the coveted Feature Album on triple j, with the grandeur on display likened to that of British rock Legends Queen.

Opera Oblivia has also scored full marks in the likes of Blunt Mag and Kerrang! who say proclaim the album to be “one of the most ambitious genre-splices ever dreamed up” while Rolling Stone have declared the album as “bombastic, bold with more sonic plot twist than many of their peers manage in a lifetime.” The band celebrated the release of Opera Oblivia with a wild sold out show in Melbourne, and will round out their tour with a sold out hometown show in Sydney and Brisbane.
