The Northern Rivers hell-raising foursome Hammers are finishing 2017 in the best possible way.

Today they are releasing the best filmclip you have seen this year – a decadent take on the classic game of Tennis. Their single ‘Dead Set’ has been garnering a bunch of love since it dropped online and the rockers are calling game-set-match on 2017 and taken the grand slam title of sickest game of tennis ever.

With the majority of a new album completed, Dead Set is the band’s first taste of what is to come.

Next week sees them on their two support shows with Cog on the Gold Coast and Byron Bay. Bassist Ricky T is pumped. “This has to have been the best filmclip I have ever been a part of. We went all out, everyone there was definitely in the swing of the day and we downed MANY beers. To finish out the year with releasing this and then supporting Cog… we can only say we are pumped for 2018.”

Dead Set sees the band venturing into heavier territory, with vocalist Fish screaming like a banshee from the get-go, followed by a wall of guitars which doesn’t let up until the climaxing outro. When asked what the song is about, Fish promptly replies, “It’s about change – it’s about the Aussie working class spirit, it’s about pushing through the shit that life sometimes throws your way, holding your head high and triumphantly coming out the other side.”
