Canadian indie-rockers HALF MOON RUN are gearing up for an epic return to Australian stages this January, playing Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney headline shows along with an anticipated appearance at the Woodford Folk Festival over the New Year break.
Today, they reveal that fellow Québécois, THE FRANKLIN ELECTRIC, will join the forthcoming tour as special guests on all dates. Following their breakthrough single ‘This Is How I Let You Down’, The Franklin Electric will release their second album, Blue Ceilings, in January to coincide with their Australian visit. Having supported the likes of Ben Howard, Mumford and Sons, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes and City & Colour, The Franklin Electric are well-versed to take on support duties for Half Moon Run this January.
Up-and-coming local outfit, BETTY & OSWALD, will kick off proceedings in a special one-off appearance at Sydney’s Metro Theatre on Saturday 14th January. Earning praise from triple j, Rolling Stone and more, they deliver tunes that are a little bit groovy, a little bit gritty, and a little bit somewhere in-between.
For their Australian tour, Half Moon Run have partnered with Plus One, donating $1 from every ticket sold to support the Australian Literacy & Numeracy Foundation’s literacy programs in remote Indigenous communities.
