Kicking off 2019 in classic Doogs style with single “Nobody/Alone” – a jangly surf punk bop about anxiety and how it can overwhelm you – as well as announcing a huge run of dates taking them across Australia playing to U18’s and 18+ rooms from Mandurah to Brisbane, Good Doogs pretty much haven’t stopped for the past 12 months.
“How I Feel” is about losing an important person in your life, and it’s completely your fault, and you find yourself overwhelmed with feeling everything and nothing at the same time. The video was shot at Jack Rabbit Slims in Perth, and plays off the track title, as “We tried to show 3 different versions of how people can feel in the same situation, but can still be drawn together by the music. Also Grudge learnt to rollerblade that day. Rollerblading is a lot harder than it looks.”
As well as going on tour with Tired Lion and DZ Deathrays, and being invited to play BIGSOUND Festival, 2018 also saw The Doogs selling out their first ever headline shows outside WA – capping rooms in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney and playing to the biggest crowds of their career. The only thing that stopped them doing another lap was mum would be super mad if they didn’t come home for Chrissy lunch.
Mum’s happy now, so they’re back at it:
