About a week ago I checked the Metro website to see if i could still get a ticket to tonights gig for a friend and i did. Let me tell you i am so glad i didn’t wait until tonight as for it is now sold out and packed to the rafters inside, i guess word got out about there incredible Falls Set or maybe having Camp Cope as your opening act only convinces the masses to turn up on a Wednesday night for a great night of entertainment.

Camp Cope open the nights proceedings up, these girls had an awesome 2016 and things as far i can tell will only get better in 2017. Their sound is raw and honest, on stage the girls look so young but they come across as band that has been doing this for years, the set is short opening with the sweet sounding Done and then getting right into there best track in my opinion Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams, it really got the crowd going we get a few more tracks before closing things out with Lost Season One, it all ended with a well deserved loud cheer and applause from the masses.

Alright after negotiating my way too and from the bar i am ready to down my beers and head to the floor and get up front to see these Philadelphia punks who were in our country like 6 months ago. Things get going with the title track from the latest album Holy Ghost and then they waste no time bringing out the big guns giving us Wedding Singer and Fine, Great back to back. The audience would move an bop along hard out the gate with crowd surfing, tracks like Tears Over Beers and Potholes would get it slowed down a bit whilst tracks like Apple Cider I Don’t Mind provide perfect sing along opportunities.

When these young fellas play you can just see it up there on the stage the expression of joy on their faces it is so good to see, these guys are just ordinary guys who love music and love playing it for us an ever appreciative growing in size crowd. They sound fantastic musically so in time and tight and so many of the tracks they play in the huge 16 song set sound so up beat and fun putting us all in a good mood. They don’t seem to be one for encores as the crowd only manage on more SHOEY! SHOEY! SHOEY! chant and bam they are back out ready to finish things off with Your Graduation this gives the crowd one last surge of energy pushing forward towards the front showing our absolute love and thanks for a great night and awesome set.
