Serving as a taster to their forthcoming LP, out later this year on Poison City RecordsDark Fairare excited to share their new single, “Off Into My Head” . The tight and driving slice of alt-rock was co-produced by Adalita Srsen and Marieca Page, and mixed by Lindsay Gravina.

Since forming in 2012 the project of two friends, Ramona Moore on guitar and Ellie Dunn on drums, have built a name for themselves with their idiosyncratic knack for writing brooding, yet poppy rock songs, which has seen them release two EPs and support the likes of Sleater-Kinney, Veruca Salt, Adalita and Jen Cloher to name a few.

On this new single, Ramona notes, nobody likes reality… It’s full of obligations, promises, routine, nuclear goal setting, criticism and too many farewells. This is a song about escaping off into your head and creating your own reality or obscurity….a blue sky, locked in coping strategy.”

After a productive year of writing and recording, Dark Fair are ready to start unveiling their debut LP to the world. “Off Into My Head” is out everywhere, Friday June 29 on Poison City Records and will be launched live at The Cactus Room, on July 21.

LIVE DATES:
Thu. July 05 – MELBOURNE @ The Gasometer (for Poison City Records Showcase)
