Underground trio The King’s Pistol have turned out four albums, as many EPs and deftly traversed their way through myriad genres since their inception five years ago. Folk, country, punk, sleaze, blues; the number of ways in which they “bring it” is legion.

It’s perhaps only fitting that their latest EP – their second of three in collaboration with Sweden’s Majestic Mountain Records – is titled Rip It Up. No pretence, no nonsense and no reason to be anything less than the best. As evidenced on latest single ‘Flame of Love’, the ’Pistol boss straight-up, balls-to-the-wall, pure as the driven riff-rock ‘n’ roll, with a little extra thrown in for good measure. With their final EP in the trilogy earmarked for release in 2021, Rip It Up is a sheer masterclass en route to hard rock glory.

As standard, Rip It Up comes on 12″ 180-gram vinyl housed in a single sleeve, with a unique lyric poster designed by artist Spectral Ecstasy. Limited to 300 copies there are three options on offer. ‘Start It Up’ (Limited to 150 copies) on black and green swirl; ‘Tear It Up’ (100 copies) on tri-colour transparent green, white and black and ultra limited edition ‘Glow in The Dark’ (50 copies).
