Crazy Rich Asians is not just a highly entertaining rom-com it’s also acts as a feature length tourism add for the beautiful city of Singapore. The huge significance of this film is it’s the first Hollywood studio picture with Asian leads in over twenty five years. This film was a smash at the box office and with it’s rich vibrant colours, rich acting talent and rich lavish locations you’d be crazy not to see it.    

The story of the film is based around New Yorker Rachel discovering that her long time boyfriend Nick comes from a rich family back in Singapore. When Rachel meets Nick’s wealthy family that’s when their relationship will be tested. The leads Constance Wu playing Rachel and Henry Golding playing Nick were brilliantly cast. Also both Ken Jeong and Ronnie Chieng provided some great comedic moments throughout the film.

Although the storyline may be something we have seen many times before the refreshing cast and picturesque locations make this film enjoyable. The Blu-ray version of the film includes commentary by the director and novelist plus also a hilarious gag reel. This movie proves that love is a crazy thing but families can be even crazier.
