Melbourne punks Clowns are thrilled to unveil the ferocious video to accompany their new single ‘Pickle’, exploring the dark and vicious cycle of addiction and substance abuse. The explosive track is taken from their upcoming third album Lucid Again out on May 12, and will be heard live nationwide when the band embarks on their recently announced 10-date Australian tour this June.

Equal parts manic and electrifying, ‘Pickle’ surges with Clowns’ signature energetic riffs and catchy melody lines, infused with psychedelic, swirling guitars. Today premiered by Pilerats, the clip sees frontman Stevie writhing and tortured, covered in blood with a frenzied look in his eyes. Exploring the concept behind the video, the band explains, Pickle is a song about suffering from the insidious cycle of addiction. Temptation, pleasure, damage and vulnerability were themes that all seemed synonymous with the track. The concept of water torture seemed appropriate to metaphorise the internal struggle of someone suffering from substance abuse, but more than that, we just wanted to watch our singer squirm.”
