China Tiger share nostalgia-laden accompanying visuals for debut single, ‘Belly Button’.Captured on Super 8 film, the video follows China Tiger through their childhood haunts.

Directed by Andy Gray and Tom Bell, the band’s footsteps are traced through humdrum suburbia, to city life in Marrickville, Newtown, Kings Cross, Mascot and Cronulla, through to the beautiful landscapes the band lived amongst like the Royal National Park and Cape Solander. Jake Styles (vocals, guitar) says the video is”effectively the world around us. Every snapshot is relevant to our lives. Its where we grew up near Cronulla, its where we surfed and skated as kids, the night shots are where we started to first play in the city as teenagers before lockout laws gave way to high rise developments.”

He continues, “The aircraft sequences are reflective of my aircraft disasters occupation alongside new arrivals and departures in my life. Everything is relevant to where we are now and where we are going. Its also just unequivocally us, what inspires us and what motivates us.”

‘Belly Button”s accompanying visuals arrive following a stand out performance at Australian Music Week and a packed out debut headline show in Sydney in celebration of the new single. All proceeds from the single launch were donated to Black Dog Institute in support of World Mental Health Day, which caught the attention of Tony Hawk who gavethe band a heartfelt shout-out.
