After a string of sold out shows across the country in support of their infusive new love song Viv In The Front Seat, Ceres have returned to tug at your heartstrings once again with their new track Kiss Me Crying.

“Kiss Me Crying exists in the margins of Viv in the Front Seat.  In the bridge of Viv, I sing of the time I realised I was truly in love with her. I was careless and thoughtless, and she told me the truth—that something can fucking suck, and never get better. I was taken aback, embarrassed, changed. In that bridge, she made me want to be a better person.

So Kiss Me Crying is a zoom in. A piece of Viv in the Front Seat, taken apart and put back together. It’s thinking about dying. It’s about people who have died. It’s about a life I want to live, and fuck-knows if I ever will. God, I hope so.

But really, it’s an apology to the person who has changed my life. And to say that if I’m ever looking up, I hope it’s at her.” – Tom Lanyon.
