Carrington, the five-piece alternative/punk rock outfit from Perth, is premiering the second single, “Interesting Places“, off their upcoming debut studio EP ‘Alter-Ego‘ due out Friday May 24th and available for pre-order now!

“Interesting Places” touches on themes of loss. Vocalist Emmett Carroll speaks about the inspiration behind the track, “This song was written about a passing family member who struggled with a terminal illness.” Beginning on a personal note, the song transitions to tackle a wider subject, “…the perspective changes throughout the song to draw parallels to the degradation of the Earth as a result of human influences, and relates to how the feelings are somewhat similar. “

Carrington will be supporting the release of their ‘Alter-Ego’ EP with a launch show at Lucy’s Love Shack in Perth supported by Nautical MileTriggerlip and Bag of Bones on Friday June 7.

The new EP ‘Alter-Ego’ continues Carrington’s drive of self producing alternative and introspective punk rock that will see them continue to rise in the Perth and wider scene. ‘Alter-Ego’ will be released Friday 24th May and can be pre-ordered now through iTunes & Apple Music/Spotify/Google Play and all good online stores and streaming outlets. Singles “44 Days” and “Interesting Places” out now.
