America’s most exciting political band DOWNTOWN BOYS are out to draft a new history with their radically-minded, indefatigable protest music and they’re bringing their powerhouse live shows to Australia this December.
Already announced as part of Meredith Music Festival‘s eclectic 2017 line-up, the five piece will play three headlining shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Wollongong, showcasing tracks from their new album ‘COST OF LIVING‘.
In this time of political turmoil, there’s no stopping Downtown Boys and their mission to unite crowds and shout the truths of our realities. Speaking out against racism, queer-phobia, capitalism, fascism, and all things close-minded, Downtown Boys’ live shows are awe-inspiring and invigorating with a relentless and infectious energy befitting of their riotous lyrics. The band’s sax-fuelled live performances are can’t-stop-talking-about-it powerful, igniting a mix of catharsis, empowerment and outright fun among their audiences.
Downtown Boys are here to remind us of the transformative power of music, and goddamn we’ve never needed it more than now.
