Brisbane punk rock trio Worse For Wear are releasing their bouncing new single, “Friends“, and are accompanying the track with the announcement of their debut album, ‘Sure To Leave A Mark‘, out Friday, September 2.
is produced, mixed and mastered by Nick Wilkinson (We Set Signals) and comes equipped with a music video that flaunts the electric live show Worse For Wear promise, filmed at the bands sold out Seasick Festival.
“Friends” is the leading single and is about keeping in check and looking for the positives in life. Vocalist Curtis Heinz sheds some light on the inspiration behind the song, “take a step back and look at what you have to be thankful for. Even though we can often wrestle with negative thoughts and feelings there is always something positive that you can try to focus on instead. Understanding is often easier said than done.”
Friends” is the fourth single taken from the forthcoming album ‘Sure To Leave A Mark’, which has been in the process of production for a long time coming. The trio has taken their time to craft a collection of songs that accurately represent the values and drive behind the band. “We have worked hard to consolidate and define the overall sound that is Worse For Wear,” explains Heinz. “I believe this release is the perfect representation of who we are as a band. We hope that people can connect with the songs and take something positive out of listening.“
