UK pop-punk band Next Year has signed with Standby Records which plans to release the band’s new EP ‘Waterfalls’ on August 30.

The band says, “We feel our new single Dopamine is where we’ve really found our sound. It merges our mixed influences, has riffs, solid drumming, catchy vocal melodies and harmonies.

The song is about modern technology and self-inflicted depression and anxiety from people comparing the “behind the scenes” of their lives with the “highlight reel” of social media influencers and trying to lead fake lives. This ties in with the music video, showing how fake lives have been portrayed throughout the years. And also a bunch of clips of us playing live and recording the EP ‘Waterfalls’ which the track is taken from”
