Traces recently unleashed “Can’t Stop Me” and initiated a movement on social media of the same name to open up conversation about mental health. “Can’t Stop Me” is an anthem of rebellion and a fight against everyone’s own worst enemy – themselves. To celebrate the release, the Tamworth trio are today announcing a national headline tour in January 2020, launching their epic rock tunes in Brisbane, Newcastle, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.
Traces will begin their ‘Can’t Stop Me Australian Tour‘ on January 17 at Crowbar Brisbane before heading down to Newcastle to play Cambridge Hotel on January 24, Sydney’s Factory Floor on January 25, The Basement in Canberra on January 28 and rounding off the tour in Melbourne on January 30 at Last Chance Rock & Roll Bar. Supports still to be announced, tickets and more information available at www.tracesband.com
“Can’t Stop Me” was an entirely DIY offering, from the engineering, mixing and mastering by vocalist Jack Pallett all the way to the video clip. The track is ultimately about overcoming self doubt and facing and accepting the negative side of who you are, your personality and what you put into the world.
Pallett says “we all have an idea of who we want to be, an ideal image of ourselves that we all strive for. Often pressure from outer influences like friends, family and society can make it hard to be who we want, but ultimately the biggest thing stopping us from realising our dreams, goals and aspirations is ourselves, our own self doubt and the negative side of who we are that we all pretend doesn’t exist.”
