After releasing their new single ‘Day In The Life’ to a flurry of praise, including a 5 star Unearthed review from triple j’s Richard Kingsmill and multiple editorial playlist placements on Spotify and Apple Music, Sophisticated Dingo today unveil the track’s accompanying video. The video premiered late last week via triple j Unearthed, and was selected as Rage’s Wild One feature video.

The chaotic clip sees Jimmy and Lew unleash a side of themselves that’s a little more dingo, and a little less sophisticated – a creative choice which frontman Lewis Matte describes as “taking the most extraordinary and disturbed snapshot of life to portray it as just another day in the life.”

“We have always wanted to create a clip with long term band photographer and mate Nick Manuell so we were excited when we started scheming ideas together trying to frame what the visual representation of ‘Day In The Life’ should be.

“We called upon the acting brilliance of Joel Griffith (MID CITY) to play the role of ‘Joey Suds’ – Dog Washer/Groomer extraordinaire and over a weekend blasted through an extremely cold and wet two days of filming.

“If navigating various lockdowns due to COVID wasn’t enough, the winter chill certainly was as myself and Jimmy risked hypothermia for the sake of a good laugh and excuse to wear dog collars, leads and pairs of budgie smugglers. We are stoked with the result and are very thankful to Nick and Joel for their efforts to get this over the line for us. We can’t wait to share this on screens everywhere which we are sure will bring shame to all of our friends and family.”
