Melbourne duo Sophisticated Dingo are today thrilled to release their long-awaited sophomore EP, ‘How’s The Carry On!?’ – a collection of songs that frontman Lewis Matte describes as being about “navigating your way through early adulthood.”

“In what may be a confusing, frustrating and confronting time I think that once you accept those conditions you can kick back and enjoy all the energy and excitement that comes with being young,” Matte continues.

The five-track release is also a celebration of the band’s progression – a clear, honest representation of two long-time best mates, and the journey their music has taken them on together. The roaring entrance that was Jimmy and Lew’s 2018 EP, ‘Tastes Just Like The Real Thing’, cemented the duo’s undeniable knack for writing emotive, sometimes unhinged, and always infectious pop rock tracks. Its influence can still be heard on their sophomore effort, but with a refreshed perspective on production, and a deeper embrace and exploration of sonic texture, from 60s surf rock through to garage punk.

“The song writing is a collection of our efforts since we started the band right through to the present day. Production-wise I think we have come a long way to present a refined and polished sounding 5 songs that maintain the energy and edge that has been present in our music since the get-go.”
