Ahead of the release of their third album Race Car Blues this Friday, Slowly Slowly have lifted the lid on another taste of the record with the soaring ‘19‘. Frontman Ben Stewart describes how the track finds him grappling with a part of his past he’s now resolved to put to rest.

“You know when you look back (on your past), and you feel like you were a completely different person, it’s like looking back on a stranger…I think ‘19’ was about putting that time for me in a capsule and drop punting it into the past.”

Steeped in light and shade, ’19’ traverses chuggy guitar and bass-filled verses, before lifting itself into a delicate, soaring chorus, check it out below.
