Today young Adelaide metalcore outfit SIGNV/S (pronounced ‘signals’) have released their new single ‘Bury Your Dreams’, which premiered last night on triple j’s Short.Fast.Loud.
Featuring Tom Drizners from fellow South Australian band OVTSIDER, ‘Bury Your Dreams’ melds clean vocals and melodic instrumentals reminiscent of the likes of Architects, Polaris and Northlane, and delves into the disappointment that can go hand in hand with idolisation.
“‘Bury Your Dreams’ is essentially about the people you idolise not being all they claim/pretend to be,” the band reveal. “In particular those you look up to who turn out to be real scummy people or who use their platform to harm or intimidate others.”
‘Bury Your Dreams’ was recorded, mixed and mastered by Jarred Nettle at House of SAP in March 2021.
