Indie-powerhouse Dine Alone Records, partnering with imprint label New Damage Records, will bring their cutting edge mobile app and iBeacon technology back to Riot Fest & Expo Toronto September 19 and 20, 2015giving fans the opportunity to win exclusive in-app prizes throughout the festival weekend. The app “Dine Alone Records” is now available as a free iPhone and Android download through the iTunes app store and Google Play Store. Dine Alone Records was the first in Canada to employ Bluetooth Low Energy iBeacon technology in a concert setting launching a series of apps in 2014. The technology, which debuted at City and Colour’s sold-out show at the Air Canada Centre last May, was a huge hit with fans, and the story was picked up in The Washington Post.
Fans who have downloaded the app and enabled Bluetooth on their smartphones at Riot Fest & Expo Toronto will be randomly rewarded with prizes when passing by Low Energy powered iBeacons deployed throughout Downsview Park.  Users will also be given the opportunity to win additional premium prizes from Dine Alone and New Damage by visiting multiple “checkpoints” on the festival grounds, as assigned via the app. Premium prizes include ONE (1) limited edition, autographed Alexisonfire box set,Alexisonfire side-of-stage viewing, #DA10year merchandise bundles, Wax On Wheels gift cards and more.
