Please Use Right Excuses is a band influenced by the 90s and 00s, with bands like Nirvana, Pixies and The Vines. The power-trio has just released the EP entitled “Pure Quarantine” on all streaming platforms.

Please Use Right Excuses conveys in its compositions an “outburst and purity” that refers to the name of the group, their songs at the same time that they make political criticisms in some lyrics; in others, they try to find light and get out of the depressive melancholy. The recordings were totally “do it yourself”, except for the backing vocals recorded in the studio. Rodrigo Leite from the band Rocket Bugs was in charge of mixing and mastering the tracks.

The name of the album already speaks for itself, pure quarantine, by the way, 2020; what year is it not? Some compositions were made by Bruno Leite (voice and guitar) during the pandemic, while others were already “old” songs that fit the moment.

The EP as a whole represents a little piece of what each person in this world went through (and is still going through) during this pandemic. The songs speak of various points such as anxiety, loneliness in pandemics, and the loss of a sense of freedom. The album ends with a more dreamy song representing those who dream that better days will come and who believe that there are still good people in this life.
