Crikey, it feels like it’s been a long time coming. Finally, Australia’s favourite larrikin sons, the Cosmic Psychos have released the next installment in their ever-engrossing story. In classic Psychos style, the album is already upsetting people a little bit. Cum The Raw Prawn and its collection of 250 f*cks, 31 sh*ts, 5 c*nts and 1 x use of the phrase ‘Fart Attack’ has been deemed ‘too offensive’ for coverage in some corners of Australian media.

In spite of the whirlwind last few years, the Psychos have recorded a brand spanking new album – the band’s first in six years. ‘Cum The Raw Prawn’ was recorded on Ross Knight’s farm in January this year, and is a triumphant addition to the acclaimed Psychos catalogue. Beer-soaked, bulldozer-fuelled pub anthems accost at every turn and it’s as grotty and unapologetic as ever.

It’s been nearly two years already since the acclaimed Cosmic Psychos documentary Blokes You Can Trust was released. The film’s warm response quickly drew the band to Europe and America as well as allowing them to tour with long time friends Pearl Jam on the 2014 Big Day Out circuit. And yes, the rumours are true; Eddie Vedder brought his infamous 50 cent piece on tour with him, and put it to use on more than one occasion.
