Five-piece metalcore act Vatic, are finally here with their debut EP, Inhibition. After spending the last year relentlessly showcasing their sound to audiences all around Melbourne, they are now excited to release it to the world. Having already played shows alongside bands like ThornhillConfessionPridelandsDiamond Construct, and The Gloom In The Corner, Vatic have also accumulated an already impressive following off the back of their two previously released singles, “Lament”, and “Elegy (Featuring Jacob Charlton of Thornhill)”.

Taking influence from prominent heavy acts like Northlane, Karnivool, and The Devil Wears Prada, Inhibition displays a sense of polish well beyond Vatic’s years. As clean and tight as it gets, each song works together to showcase the absolute best that Vatic has to offer (for now). They keep the listener on their toes from start to finish, as their effective pacing and tone changes ensure that their melodically harsh sound doesn’t stale for a second.

Bleeding screams dominate each track, bringing with them an unbridled sense of pain and aggression. Mesmerising singing, grinding bass, and ringing guitars instil a sense of nightmarish suspense, while frantic neck-snapping drums round out the complete sound that is Vatic.
