Seminal hardcore band La Dispute have released an early preview of their forthcoming album Panorama (officially out March 22nd) via an immersive desktop game experience. Developed by Joost Eggermont and Jorrit De Vries with creative direction from band member Adam Vass the game transports users to a geometric world with intense landscapes and scenery. Then greeted by 3 polygonal figures, the listener guides the figures through a unique landscape reflecting each track. The game is free with the option to pay what you want as a donation to The Trevor Project; the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention serves to lesbian, gay. bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning youth.

PRE-ORDER PANORAMA HERE

Panorama was produced by the band in tandem with return producer Will Yip (Quicksand, Braid, Code Orange, Nothing, Title Fight) combining jazz, rock, slowcore, noise, hardcore among other influences over the span of 10 tracks. It’s a highly ambitious and deeply affecting body of work that filters narrative storytelling through a personal lens, like a set of Joan Didion essays set to music. See the band live next month as they kick off a 21 date national tour with support from Gouge Away and Slow Mass.
